Conference Speakers

Conference speakers are requested to prepare a presentation and send it to us at the latest on Monday September 13, 2021. Please find an instruction below.

  • Download the PowerPoint Presentation template by clicking HERE.
  • Please prepare a presentation with a maximum duration of 10-12 minutes.
  • Send the presentation via Wetransfer.com to e-mail address jochem@mediscon.nl.

Please stick to the speaking time to allow a 3-5 minutes discussion with our panel.

Virtual speakers

Virtual speakers are requested to pre-record their presentation and send it to us a the latest on Monday September 13, 2021. Please find an instruction below.

  • Pre-record your presentation with a maximum duration of 10-12 minutes.
  • You can find an instruction on how to use Zoom to record your presentation HERE.
  • Send the presentation via Wetransfer.com to e-mail address jochem@mediscon.nl.

Our technical team will play your pre-recorded presentation in the conference hall. When it is finished, there will be a Q&A session (3-5 minutes) via Zoom. The link to the Zoom meeting will be sent to you a few days prior to the meeting.

Travel

Route to the hotel

If you travel by plane and arrive at Zürich Airport, you can reach Hotel Einstein in two easy steps:

Step 1 – Direct train from the airport to St. Gallen

Inside the airport terminal there is a railway station where you can take a direct train to St. Gallen. Please follow the signs in the airpot terminal. The train leaves 3 – 4 times per hour and takes approximately 1 hour to arrive in St. Gallen. Click on the button below to book a ticket.

Step 2 – A short walk to the hotel

When you arrive in St. Gallen, it is a short walk (650 m) to Hotel Einstein. Please find a route description and map below.

  • The train station is located at the Bahnhofplatz. From there, walk to the street St. Leonard Strasse and turn left.
  • After 250 meters, turn right at the crossing and follow the street Oberer Graben.
  • After 250 meters, you will find the destination Hotel Einstein.

 

Reimbursement

Your travel expenses will be reimbursed with a maximum of € 500 based on economy class. You can use the travel reimbursement form to claim your expenses for flights, train and taxi.

Conference Program

Please click the button below to see the full conference program. Here is a short description of the different roles during the conference.

Provoker

The provoker is the chair of the panel. His responsibilities are:

  • Active communication with the operators during the live cases
  • He can walk around in the audience and ask questions to the participants with a micro

Referee

The referee is the co-host. His responsibilities are:

  • Active discussion and making sure everyone is engaged
  • Connection to the organizer (when cath labs are ready, when talks should be given, make sure that both live cases have the same airtime)
  • Keeps an eye on the clock: manage the time for lives, talks and coffee breaks

Rising star
The rising star is the third member of the panel. He or she should very actively ask any question to the panel and the operators. Even the “silly ones! He/she helps the Referee with time management.

Speaker
Speakers prepare a presentation of 10-12 minutes and allow extra time for discussion (3-5 minutes). We have scheduled a maximum of 15 minutes for each talk, including discussion.

Virtual speaker 
Virtual speakers are marked with the following icon: . They have a pre-recorded a presentation of maximum 12 minutes and will make use of Zoom to answer questions during their sessions.

COVID Certified Event

The Swiss CTO Summit will be labeled as a COVID certified event. This implicates that you must fulfill either of the following conditions:

  • you received the full COVID vaccination more than 1 month before entering Switzerland (valid COVID certificate).
  • Negative PCR test (not older than 72 hours) or rapid antigen test (not older than 48 hours)
  • Proof for being fully recovered from COVID-19 in the last 6 months
